ON THE ISSUES
Fighting for Every New Yorker
Affordability
We've all felt it: the tightening of our wallets, the counting of our pennies, the careful spending of our paychecks. The economy has been turbulent, and Albany has barely helped. If elected, I want to do what Albany has been unable to thus far. I'm committed to cutting taxes and wasteful spending, and I want to recommit resources to the areas that really matter, from infrastructure to cost of goods. We deserve a state where we don't have to decide between filling up our gas tank or buying groceries for the week.
Public Safety
New York's crime problem has gotten out of control. Every day, we hear more stories about violence and illegal activity in our communities. From gun violence to abuse, crime has thrived in a system that does not punish offenders the way it should. The bail reform disaster, the wave of illegal migrants entering this state, and the general lack of support our law enforcement receive have fostered a pro-crime, pro-criminal environment. We should never have let it get to this point, but now that it has, we need people to stand up for law and order. If elected, that's exactly what I plan to champion when I go to Albany.
The Environment
New Yorkers have the benefit of living in one of the most diverse and beautiful states we could ever imagine. Lakes, beaches, waterfalls and forests cover our state and provide us with both a bevy of recreational opportunities as well as some of the most incredible natural views anyone in the world could see. With that beauty comes the responsibility of caring for it, which is one of the things I'm hoping to do when elected to the Assembly. Ensuring our greenspaces are kept clean, providing resources to our parks for maintenance and care, and preserving the land and its beauty for our kids, grandkids, and generations of New Yorkers to enjoy for centuries to enjoy is something I'm passionate about, and proud to support.
